M.I.A.U.

an interdisciplinary, socially transformative project by Ada Kopaz and Kathrin Dröppelmann

M.I.A.U. is an artistic, political, and activist practice that explores the Riachuelo River in Buenos Aires through a transformative, documentary-inspired approach. Using video, sound, performance, and other artistic media, the project creates a polyphonic portrait of the river, highlighting solidarities, new perspectives, and emancipatory forms of subjectivation.

The work investigates how bodies are represented in public space, social networks, and on stage. By turning public spaces into stages, M.I.A.U. emphasizes their political significance and foregrounds the overlapping choreographies of social and spatial interaction.

Beyond the Riachuelo, the project connects these struggles and perspectives with other places, emphasizing the international dimension of social and environmental struggles and the shared pursuit of alternative, emancipatory practices across borders.
