an den straßen fischen
with Julia Lerch-Zajączkowska, Hamburg, 2015
Fishing on the Streets is a book, a story, a depiction, a fictional walk. Based on three months of research in Hamburg’s city center and along its Fleete, the project follows the traces of street fishermen and attempts to capture the perception of a particular urban fragment. Knowledge, fiction, and theory are woven together into an artistic exploration of the city.
Inspired by the walking methodology of Annemarie and Lucius Burckhardt and the dérive of the Situationist International, the work is structured in two parts: a narrative and a glossary of concepts, inviting readers to experience the city both imaginatively and reflectively.
