kathrin dröppelmann
works as a visual artist at the intersection of fine arts, research and mediation. She lives and works in Berlin.
Her research-based artistic practice focuses on social, political and ecological structures. In her work she creates collaborative situations, processes and actions that move between architecture, installation, texts, new media, walks and performances in the field of critical spatial practice. She often collaborates with others to develop emancipatory ideas for the future.
KD studied architecture in Karlsruhe and Vienna (Bachelor of Arts, 2010), and completed a Master in Urban Design in Hamburg and Buenos Aires (Master of Science, 2016). She is part of the collectives Patterns of Paradyze, VolumenXVolume, ZOLLO and Kunstblock and beyond. Her work has been supported by various grants and awards and she has participated in residencies in Germany, Argentina, USA, Mexico, Ireland and Burkina Faso, among others.
