cuerpos de agua
Exhibition / Co-curated in collaboration with Margarete Kiss, Ralf Wedekind and Juan Camillo Alfonso, station of urban cultures hellersdorf / ngbk berlin / 15.06.23 - 31.08.23
CUERPOS DE AGUA brings together artistic perspectives that explore possible dialogs between human and non-human beings. Water is the unifying element that brings together interdisciplinary artistic and activist initiatives from Colombia, Argentina and Germany, among others, with their knowledge and strategies. The result is a shared learning space on land, water and nature rights.
CUERPOS DE AGUA views water as a fluid body that connects forms of life, economies and crises. Economies and ecosystems around bodies of water overlap, and human inhabitants of rivers are also part of these systems. Installations, paintings, films and videos by artists belonging to the millennial generation deal with the materiality of water and train our understanding of a world in which everything is connected to everything else.
